LOOPMAN FOR MAC
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 1, 2026
This policy explains how DolgoraeSoft handles information when you use Loopman for Mac (bundle ID net.dolsoft.loopmanformac). The iPhone and iPad app uses additional advertising services and is not covered by this Mac-specific policy.
Information we process
Loopman uses Amplitude and Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used and where people encounter problems. The app sends an installation-specific device identifier and, when iCloud is available, a pseudonymous user identifier derived from an opaque CloudKit account record ID. These identifiers let us relate activity from the same installation or iCloud account; they are not your Apple ID, name, or email address. Analytics data can therefore be linked to a user or device even though we do not receive your personal Apple account details.
Analytics events include app version, macOS version, device class, language or locale, screen size or class, keyboard language, license status, selected music or listening mode, app launches and screens viewed, track counts, playback and loop duration summaries, repeat usage, exports, and error codes. Amplitude may derive an approximate country or region from the network connection. Loopman does not request precise location for this analytics feature. Our custom product analytics events do not include the audio files you open or their file names.
Firebase Crashlytics receives crash reports and related diagnostic information so we can find and fix app failures. Diagnostic information may include device and operating-system details, crash traces, and error information.
iCloud and device counts
If you are signed in to iCloud and CloudKit is available, Loopman reads an opaque CloudKit account record ID and converts it to a pseudonymous analytics identifier. In your private iCloud database, the app stores pseudonymous device identifiers and the most recent active day for each device to calculate how many of your devices used Loopman within a 30-day window. The app prunes older activity entries when it updates that record. If iCloud is unavailable, Loopman uses a local installation identifier for analytics and cross-device counts are unavailable.
Audio files and purchases
Loopman opens audio files you select to play or export them. Our product analytics events do not upload the audio content or file names to Amplitude or Firebase. Files you choose to keep in iCloud Drive are handled through your Apple iCloud account.
Apple handles App Store purchases and payment details. Loopman checks App Store receipts with Apple to enable purchased features; it does not receive your credit card number. Loopman reports paid/free and license-expired status to Firebase Analytics. It also includes the current paid/free feature-access status in existing Amplitude usage events linked to the analytics identifier described above. This status may include offline grace access; receipts and transaction identifiers are not sent to Amplitude. The Firebase Analytics SDK may also automatically record StoreKit 1 in-app purchase events, including initial subscriptions, with product and transaction metadata such as product ID or name, price, currency, quantity, and subscription status.
Service providers and transfers
We use Amplitude for product analytics, Google Firebase for analytics and crash diagnostics, and Apple for iCloud and App Store services. These providers process data under their own privacy and security terms and may process it outside your country. We do not use Mac app analytics for cross-app advertising tracking.
Retention and your choices
The iCloud device-activity calculation uses a rolling 30-day window; this is not a 30-day retention limit for analytics or crash data already sent to service providers. We retain those records as needed to analyze usage and fix problems, subject to our provider settings and applicable requirements. Uninstalling the app stops future collection from that installation but does not automatically remove data already sent to Amplitude or Firebase.
To ask about your data or request deletion, email dolgoraesoft@gmail.com. We will explain what we can locate and remove, including any information held by our analytics providers. You can manage data in your own iCloud account through Apple's iCloud controls.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app or its services change. The update date above identifies this version. For privacy questions, contact DolgoraeSoft at dolgoraesoft@gmail.com.
